Numerous sources of fatigue

There is nothing very rational about riding a motorcycle, and that's probably why we enjoy it so much.
Between the vibration, the elements (draughts, cold, rain, insects), and an often cramped position, the hard saddle and suspension, there are numerous sources of fatigue.

And don't think that the pressure of the wind will act as a stimulant: it also fatigues and ends up by numbing your reflexes. Apart from the enthusiasm it generates, riding a motorcycle requires a good physical condition. As with driving any other vehicle, it goes without saying that we strongly advise against the use of drugs or alcohol!

The role of the equipment

Exposed to the elements, the less the rider is well equipped, the more he will tire. And apart from the degree of protection they provide, the suppleness of his clothing, the degree of protection against the cold, wind proofing, etc., all play an important role.

Remember to take a break

Stinging eyes, stiff neck, yawning more and more frequently… these are all signs clearly telling you that it is time to take a break.

The range of the average machine does not generally exceed much over 200 kilometers : filling up with fuel is the occasion to recoup a little energy, with a hot drink, some food (hot, but not greasy), a little exercise…

The role of the equipment2

The same applies for the noise level in the helmet, which can be another fatigue factor. And the longer the trips you do, and the harsher the conditions, the more the role of the equipment is important.
